APPLICATIONS

• Application Requirements

WRITERS
✧ Writers will submit a google drive folder with 3 samples of their best work. All samples should be a minimum of 2k words and a maximum of 3k. There is a 100 word buffer on either side.
✧ At least one sample should be a finished piece within the required word count.
✧ All samples should be SFW.
✧ A Bungou Stray Dogs sample is encouraged but not required.
ARTISTS
✧ Artists will submit a portfolio with at least 4 samples of their best work.
✧ All samples must be fully completed. No WIPs or sketches.
✧ If you are applying as a merch artist, a merch example is encouraged but not required.
✧ All samples should be SFW.
✧ A Bungou Stray Dogs sample is encouraged but not required.

• Contributor Expectations

✧ All contributors will be expected to submit at least two pitches by the pitch deadline, to be reviewed and approved by the mods.
✧ All contributors are expected to meet deadlines or let a mod know as soon as possible if an extension is needed.
✧ All contributors are expected to keep their work for the zine within the zine server and to not share it publicly until the mods have approved public posting.Bakers
Bakers will be responsible for creating 2 recipes for food that can be found in a cafe. Bakers will also be responsible for taking a photo of their creation.Baristas
Baristas will be responsible for creating 2 drink recipes for drinks that can be found in a cafe. In addition to the recipes, baristas will also be responsible for taking a photo of their creation.Writers
Writers will be responsible for creating one fic between 2k and 3k words that incorporates the theme of the zine.Page Artists
Page artists will be responsible for creating one illustration. Page artists may create a single page illustration, a double page illustration, or a comic. Page artists may use up to four pages if they wish, but only one page is required.Spot Artists
Spot artists will be responsible for two spot illustrations. Spot illustrations do not have a background, and will be based on recipes or fics depending on the pairings.Merch Artists
Merch artists will be responsible for creating two merch designs. Merch assignments will be provided based on preferences selected in the application.

F.A.Q.

What are the zine specs?
A5, perfect bound, full color. The zine will be available in both physical and digital formats.IIs shipping allowed in the zine?
Based on the results of the interest check, shipping will be permitted within the zine. No more than 40% of the zine will be ship-focused, and the same ship will not appear more than once within the zine.For this reason, all contributors will be required to pitch at least one gen pitch.What content is banned from the zine?
This project will be SFW, so NSFW is not permitted. Additionally, the zine will not accept gore or heavy violence.Due to the nature of Bungou Stray Dogs, light violence is permitted.Is this zine for profit or charity?
The zine will be for charity.How will contributors be compensated?
At a minimum, contributors will be compensated with a digital copy of the zine. If sales allow, all contributors will be compensated with a full bundle of the zine and all merch, in addition to the cost of shipping covered.How many contributors will be included?
6 writers, 3 bakers, 3 baristas, 8 page artists, 6 spot artists, and 3 merch artists.Who can apply?
Anyone over the age of 18 can apply.
